Astrobiology School UIMP
EL CENTRO DE ASTROBIOLOGÍA CODIRIJE JUNTO CON NASA ASTROBIOLOGY PROGRAM, LA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF ASTROBIOLOGY ‘JOSEP COMAS I SOLÀ’, QUE SE IMPARTE ANUALMENTE DESDE 2003 EN LA UNIVERSIDAD INTERNACIONAL MENÉNDEZ PELAYO (UIMP)
Tiene lugar en la sede de la UIMP en Santander, en el palacio de La Magdalena, y se ha convertido en una cita ineludible para la comunidad astrobiológica. Cada edición se centra en un tema astrobiológico monográfico, y durante una semana se imparten clases y conferencias por expertos internacionales, y mesas redondas. Además, los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de desarrollar proyectos, realizar observaciones astronómicas, y excursiones a lugares cercanos de interés astrobiológico.
The Josep Comas i Solà International Astrobiology Summer School is co-sponsored by NASA Astrobiology Program and the Centro de Astrobiologia. Held annually in Santander, Spain, since 2003, it has become a tradition in the astrobiology community. The week-long program for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows provides lectures from international experts, round-table discussions, student projects, night-sky observations, and a half-day field trip to a nearby site of astrobiological interest.
